I am risking much googly-eyes and "ooooooOOOOOOOOooooooos" from my sisters by writing this part of my post, but I figure I should just get on with it.
As most, if not all, of you may know, I have been seeing a Certain Gentleman Friend quite frequently. So yes, you could consider us to be "dating." And just so my sisters can stop asking me every time I talk to them (I love you guys!!): Yes, I do like this Certain Gentleman Friend. Quite a bit, actually. And I think it's safe to say that I'm pretty dang sure he likes me quite a bit too.
There. I said it. I am internally bracing myself for a flood of gushing and giggling that I know will ensue once my sisters read this post. Heh. Still love you guys!!! :)
In other news, I had my first day of work yesterday, and lemme tell you... it was not what I was expecting. I got to work about half an hour early (7:30) and sat around on the 9th floor (which is where the Helpdesk is) until about 8:10. Then my boss showed up and said that a lady on the 2nd floor was waiting to train me as a phone operator. I went downstairs, thoroughly confused. I got trained until I was overloaded with information (so, for about 15 minutes) and then I sat there listening to my iPod for an hour before my boss came down to explain what was going on. It turns out that the Helpdesk is moving from the 9th floor to the 2nd floor, and that it (the Helpdesk) and the Phone Operator departments are sorta merging into one. Confusing, I know. And I also found out that my job is very, very part time. (Like, from 1:00-3:00 every day or mostly every day until fall semester starts.) Oh well. At least it's something.
So yeah, that's my life right now.
Sheesh. 'Bout time you fessed up. :) I seem to recall something Dad said about cats in cellophane bags...

Ooh, the CGF, eh?
ReplyDelete(I coined that all on my own. It was all me.)
to coin a phrase...
ReplyDelete*ooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo*
with the googley eyes and much girlie gushing! I want to know more, so you're going to have to a.)email me or
b.)call me
or else elliespen and I will kidnap you and interrogate you with such powerful weapons(read: "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini") that you will not be able to resist us. And I'm sure carriepants would be more than willing to help! :)
one more question, does this here CGF read your blog?
Tee-Hee! I would love to help in any gushy, giggly interrogation! :) Do I remember hearing that CGF worked at the helpdesk at some point too? Do you kind of work together now? P.S. When does the rest of the fam get to meet him? Hmmm? Matt says, "We'll, have to go meet him in the Mercury." He does have his big brother duties to fulfill here, you know... :)
ReplyDeleteWell, when the time comes, you can introduce him to your legal team...
ReplyDeleteCGF was TOTALLY ME. I MADE THAT ONE UP! Watch it spread! WINNA!
I would just like to say here that I have NO IDEA who that weird not too pensive person is. Totally a stranger to me.
ReplyDelete(I would also like to point out that at least when I interrogated you there was no actual torture involved. I even helped you with the dishes, gosh!)
Pensive, you are too cool with the "CGF" thing. Good one. I totally give you credit.
ReplyDeleteAt least somebody appreciates my work...
ReplyDeleteYa'll are so wack!!! :)
ReplyDeleteTo answer your questions: He does not work at the helpdesk anymore, so no, I don't work with him. I have no idea when the rest of you can meet him. Mebbe the next movie night...? No, he does not read my blog.
ReplyDeleteWe don't see a whole lot of each other anymore because we both have to work and he's got school. So I don't know where this friendship is going. Heh. And I totally like "CGF" (not to be confused with "CGI") oh not-too-pensive-one. Way to go.
