So much has happened since I last posted. And not all of it is fun.
For those of you who don't know, the CGF and I are no longer together. Here's what happened, if you really want to know. (*WARNING!* Reader Discretion Advised. Deep, Dark Secrets coming up. Not really. It's just kind of sappy. And awkward.)
Our ward was kinda scheduled to go do Baptisms for the Dead on Saturday morning, and the CGF was going to come pick me up. He got to my house, but his tire was flat so I had to drive Mom's car. We got to the Temple and no one from our ward was there, and there was this HUGE youth group in front of us and neither of us really wanted to wait that long to do Baptisms, so we went walking around the Square. Now, he and I had been talking before about our relationship and where it was going. He was sure that he liked me, even loved me, but I wasn't entirely sure how I felt about him. I mean, I liked him, but I got the feeling that he liked me a whole lot more than I liked him and I wasn't starting to like him any more than I already did. I did a lot of thinking and praying about it, I decided that it was time to end the relationship (I didn't want to do it, because I'd had such a good time with him. We could talk to each other and he liked me the way I am and I was grateful for that, but I felt like it was what I had to do.) We can still be friends, but I don't see us as anything more than that. I feel bad because the CGF told me that he thought I was the right girl for him, but I just didn't feel like he was the right guy for me. Weird, huh? I just hope he doesn't have too hard a time forgiving me and letting go. And the other weird feeling is that even though he may not think it's the right thing, I do think it's the right thing, and I haven't cried about it or thought about taking it back and going back to him.
On a lighter note, I am going to live with my sister for the next month and a half, and I just have to say that I am SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! It'll be a little inconvenient living in Provo and working in Salt Lake, but I think it will be a great experience. I can barely contain my glee (as you may have already noticed.)
Well, gotta go. I'm at work right now and it is rather busy, surprisingly. That may not be the case later on today, but we'll see.
Woah! I'm kind of sad because breaking up is hard to do no matter what the circumstances! But I'm really impressed with how you figured things out. You know what? Everything is going to work out the way it is supposed to for you. This is a guarantee because I know you'll keep praying along your way like you have been. Good Job! I'm glad you got to spend time with a good guy. Your life and his life will hopefully be better because of your time together. Which Sister? Erach or Scritchy? Lucky!!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Glee! Happiness! Joy!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least in the you're-coming-to-live-with-me way. I don't think breaking up (no matter how much it was the right thing to do) is usually a situation meritorious of glee, but you know what I mean.
So I will resume:
Glee! Happiness! Joy!
Aw! Thanks guys! Y'all are so awesome. To answer Carriepants' question: I'll be staying with The Scritchy One (or elliespen) while The Not-Too-Pensive-One is in Peru.
ReplyDeleteLet me join in with elliespen when she says Glee! Happiness! Joy!
boo, humbug, sad.
ReplyDeleteno one wants to live with me!!! :(
Granted, Tyler would probably eat all of your crackers. Just ask Eldon.
Okay, just don't have too much fun down there without us, you "Utah County Crew" down there, you! :)
